I'm tendering for a job and the QS has sent this to me.....

An excel breakdown please with any remaining qualifications from your point of view. Ideally unqualified and in accordance with tender information and information included – please confirm.

Can anybody translate please? I didn't go to uni. biggrin

Hi, my take would be a priced bill of quantities with a list of clarifications / qualifications (such as no allowance for welfare, access, removal of waste ect).

Depending on what stage you are at this could either to be give the qs an idea of what your price included / what to add to his price for, or could be the basis for first pass contact conditions?

Hope that helps...

He wants a breakdown in excel of your price together with your conditions for the pricing i.e. where you have specifically omitted or excluded anything or deviated from the pricing schedule and/or specification.

He'd ideally want a fully compliant bid i.e. you've priced everything in accordance with the tender documentation.

I bet he's used the phrase 'and the like' in the pricing schedule.
st QS'ing.

He just wants an itemised quote, but a bit more info than just the item. He probably doesn't think the price you've given makes sense, your probably way off his other bids.

He wants to know what assumptions you've made and priced for.
