Stand Alone Warranty

So I am approaching three months of ownership of my GTS and was going to get myself the Porsche warranty (for peace of mind). Now I know they make you pay for a 111 point check prior to signing on. This slightly worries me as I know the rear brakes have about only 1000 miles left in them, and the PO of my car put cheaper N rated rear tyres on. So to anybody who has experience with the warranty process, am I going to have to pay for a new set of brakes and tyres before I fork out another small fortune to have the warranty?

I would go along with all the advice given previously. However, consider the following:
1. I had my inspection done for free (after negotiation) but I had work done by the OPC at the same time. So whilst cmoose offers sound advice to either change the brakes yourself or get an indy to do them with OEM parts, you might be able to have the inspection charge waived if you get the OPC to do it at the same time.
2. I believe the OPC charges for the 111 inspection for people bringing in prospective purchases purely to be inspected with no remidial work necessarily to follow. If you have your rear brakes done (a reasonably quick job) and you're going to buy one or two year's warranty, they have something in the pot with which to negotiate.
3. If the PO scrimped on servicing - check the battery is Porsche OEM too. The car's spec has to be exactly as it left the showroom!
The problem really is the tyres. They do have to be N-rated for the inspection. Can you borrow some wheels and N-rated tyres from a friend just for the inspection? And why are they cheaper?! A set of N-rated PS2s are not cheap! They are out-dated technology compared to PSSs, sure, but not cheap!
