Drive shaft CV joint play

Hey folks, just pulled one side of the rear suspension apart to replace all the wishbones etc, and have noticed slight play in the CV joints.
Is there zero tolerance regarding these and am I better off replacing the lot whilst everything is apart?
or is a couple of ml rotational play with the joint straight acceptable?

When I had mine apart I had zero play.

Bugger. Looks like I'll be shelling out for those too. If there's no play in yours with the awesome power you're putting out, I guess I need to change them.
Did you check them with the drive shafts attached? Only reason I ask is I'm hoping it's not play in the splines, which I presume there would be none, as don't want to order a new set to find there is still a problem

An easy way to check if it's splines is to swap [temporarily for test only] cv's around. You'll soon see if they fall off existing but have to be forced on other way around IYSWIM. You should be able to see if there is any play in the CV's easy enough.

Cool, thanks mate. Will give it a go tomorrow before reassembling everything with new poly bushes
Hope it's as easy as the dismantling part.
Will be much easier using new wishbones hopefully
