Injector cleaner
Discussion
I have previously used Redex type fuel injector cleaner in the fuel on higher mileage cars. I remember a Top Gear piece on the cheapest ways to recover lost BHP on older engines where it came out tops with a noticeable % gain. Would there be anything peculiar about the S6 which would mean this unadvisable ?
Its a funny thing the whole redex stuff thing.
Some say it's terrible as it does more harm than good, others say it's great. I chucked a couple of bottles through my chimaera when I got it and I can't say I noticed it but if it helps then It's worth the few quid.
Ultimately, if you're concerned about injector quality then pull them out when/if the cars laid up over winter then you know they're performing properly. I'll probably get mine done this winter.

Personally iv always preffered a tank of super unleaded to run through, it has all the cleaning agents etc that is unless you run it on super already, in which case i dont believe you would receive any benefit.. no science to back it up but it seems to work for me, even if i do run my Tuscan on it lol my daily V6 Alfa however, gets one a month

Good point, I do run it on V-Max.
