So 8 years after buying the Griffith my first throttle cable failure. I have a replacement inner cable with a screw down nipple rolleyes but was wondering if it would be best to replace the entire assembly?

As long as your outer isn't kinked or breaking down anywhere it shouldn't be a problem, I'd stick a Wd40 nozzle down the end and lubricate until you have liquid coming out the other end,,

As Alun said but I recommend something more slippery as a lube.

You can buy a can of cable lube and a little gizmo that clamps on the outer to lube efficiently with no mess.

I find 3 in 1 oil good for this as its nice and thin viscosity wise. The nozzle makes it easy to apply too.

Thanks I'll take a look at it tonight when I get home and decide.
