Suspension bush help! Up S**T creek at the moment

Hey folks, I left myself 5 days to get the suspension bushes and new rear suspension wishbones fitted, but run into a major problem.

When driving out the bushes from the upright, the near side top one on the upright was seriously stuck.
It finally shifted, but took a shaving of material from the inside of the bore (only one side as in the pic)



The problem that I have is that the hole for the new poly bush is way too big on both sides(about 1 ml), and the other upright is a perfect fit, as below
N/S too big


Off side is a perfect fit


Is it possible to get oversized bushes to fit in this case, or am I in deep St and need to try and track down a whole new N/S upright??

Hard to say but can you get it sleaved

You can't of taken much off as there's still powder coating left.....

I'd check the poly bushes, have you thought about fitting standard bushes?

MThanks guys, any idea who in South London can sleeve it?
I checked the bushes, and they are fine. The same ones that are a tight fit in the offside simply fall out of the N/S

Can't really see that getting sleeved. If you are 100% certain the bushes are the correct size, then I'd get a new upright.

This is what worries me. Can't find new ones listed, and don't want to go down the route of another second hand one in case I have the same problem.
Must be some way to save the day?

Perhaps a good engineering shop can lathe up a sleeve, weld it in and ream out the hole to the correct size?

Do you mean grind the old bush carrier off, make up a new one and then re weld it to the upright?
If you mean make a sleeve, press it into the old bush carrier, then I can't see there being enough 'meat' to do that. I will however bow to your superior knowledge.

Thanks for the offer John, unfortunately you're a bit too far away from me in sunny Chessington, but great to hear this can be done without the need to replace the whole part.

Don't they have next day couriers in Chessington? John is a real expert, no risk of it being wrong.

I would replace the bush carrier with a new item takes no time to turn them up if you do want me to do it hurry up i am off to wales wednesday.
