Chimaera Oil warning light

Need some help please. Have had a problem with an earthing fault which is now sorted. In the mean time the oil warning light has come on. It flickers when driving. I had assumed it was linked to the earthing fault, but that is fixed. The gauge is working correctly, or appears to be at least. I'm guessing its something to do with the switch. Have been through the bible a few times, but not too sure where I'm going next. Its a '96 4litre serpentine engine with the cream coloured dials. Any help / advice would be great please.

First thing to check is the quality of the connection to the pressure sender.

......which is right down at the bottom front of the engine, below the crankshaft pulley IIRC, with one lead attached. My lead is cable tied to the chassis above the sender.

I did an entire track day at Snetterton, no problems, drove away from the circuit, light came on every time I braked.
Worried, called my TVR guy (who was ten minutes behind me - the best TVR guys go to the track with you!), he told me where to look, and I fixed it myself.

The light is the single wire one drivers side above the filter

No, he's right, sorry - I had zero oil pressure, not the light on. Put it down to senility.....

Okay, finally found it, wow it's nice and easy to get to isn't it! Connection seems fine, but can't trace the wire much further. Any thoughts as to what to check next?

If you're confident you have oil pressure, worth changing the switch; they don't last forever
