Well that didn't take long!

Put my Cerbera up for sale on Monday evening. New owner just drove away in it! I really really hope it treats him good! The car was a pleasure to own - still struggling to work out where the so call £3000 per year running costs come from? I added up all insurance, tax, servicing repairs I have done in nearly four years of ownership and its still less than £3000 total! - in fact other than insurance/tax etc I spent the grand total of £22 last year! Which one was it?! Nice one though. Quick and easy sales are the best!
Yep - well pleased, call me sentimental but I like it when I sell a car to someone I like as well. Was tempted to keep it and watch it appreciate but Mrs was complaining about her Volvo been out in the cold and the wet while the Cerb and Sag were cosy in the garagehttp://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

No wonder it didn't take long at that price. Cerberas are definitely on the up price wise so that looked like a cheap car.
With regards the running costs, I think the £3000 a year is more for the V8 cars isn't it? Speed Six's should be a lot cheaper to run if the finger-followers are done?

Yep, I priced it to sell however I knew it being a Speed6 without a rebuild would put people off. Plus I am not really the negotiating type, life is too short for all that to-ing and fro-ing only to end up at the same place anyway. With regards the running costs, I think the £3000 a year is more for the V8 cars isn't it? To be fair on the running costs I don't do a huge amount of mileage and if your not a complete muppet with spanners it helps a lot . I am no mechanic buy I managed to change the alternator, speed sensor, exhaust, and all 4 shocks and springs on the Cerb (setup by Mat Smith though) without problems
Don't blame you, I did a similar thing with my Ferrari 308. Sold within 4 days and the only people that viewed it were serious people that must have been looking for one. I reckon if you over price them you end up more than likely getting joyriders turning up.
As for getting yours set up by Mat Smith, Was it set up using sonic waves?

What a stunning looking car, you must miss it terribly. I doubt you'll ever own another car like it!
This is my way of getting you back for selling it so cheap
Yeah I was sad to see her go - she holds the record for the car I have owned the longest. This is my way of getting you back for selling it so cheap

However I have this to console myself with (no not the bl**dy Volvo!)

I could say the same up until two years ago when I had a full chassis off rebuild, now a big bill for clutch and associated bits. I've now spent £18k over 9 years in total, but there shouldn't be anything left to do mechanically. So just to add for those who care about these things. I priced her to sell but still made a very healthy profit on what I bought her for 3 1/2 years ago. Funny thing is looking back at my post then, I thought she was expensive!

Basically taking all the running costs into consideration I ran her during my ownership virtually free of charge!!

Well done on the sale but I can easily see why it was snapped up so quickly, brill colour and spec (with recessed plate)! I was luck enough to get my hands on DJR 7 just over a year or so ago. Best thing I ever did and slightly cheaper than yours too
Out of interest is the child seat still available? is it the full setup with bar and under tray etc? more specifically Im really interested in the impact cushion if you have one of those going?
Enjoy the Sag Solo now, I suppose it takes away the brain ache of having to flip a coin over which one you will take out... lol
