You've swapped out the motherboard from an Intel to an AMD based one and you're complaining that the BIOS "still recognises" your RAM as the old 32Mb stick?

WTF? Its a different motherboard - its never even seen your old 32Mb memory.

If you're now at the stage of installing Windows, then you must have solved the RAM problem already...

I think there are several wires crossed in your post, there!

Could the 32MB message be coming from your video card? That would explain it

Edited to add 128MB is a bit stingy for XP, it'll wake up if you stick 512 in it.

Terribly sorry old chap - have to say its not the clearest post of all time and considering the technical nature of the problem(s) you seem to be having, perhaps a smidgen of clarity wouldn't go amiss?

Computers aren't the clearest 'things' of all time,it just kept remembering this 32mb stick i took out even after bios was updated?,the video card is a 64mb card incidentally.
