Thought I would get the ball rolling early...

Looking to meet up further South this time , suggested meeting point being somewhere around the Worksop/A1 area hopefully this will be better placed for any members in Derbyshire /Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire

Provisional date to be Saturday 26th. Feb. around 12.30/1.00pm. exact location (pub) to be confirmed later (when I have done some research) unless anyone can recommend somewhere suitable.

Would be nice to double the turnout from the first meet (3) so if anyone is interested in attending please let me know and dont worry if you cant get there by Jago.

For those of you further North who have already expressed an interest dont worry we will be heading North in March.

Thinking further ahead to the summer time (if we get one) does anyone fancy a get together somewhere like Clumber Park ? could be a chance for your kids to run riot/tire themselves out while we talk Jagos....

Once again if there is enough interest I could approach the National Trust to see if they will give us discounted entry and maybe an area set aside for a small display (time to dust off a club banner?)

Because of the distances involved in attending some major shows it would be great to attend some appropriate local events maybe combining them with the monthly meet and help get the club more recognition.

Hi, as I'm based in Chesterfield (Derbyshire) the Worksop meeting looks like a handy location for me. So, if a meet goes ahead count me in.

Hi mark...

Possibly a bit of bad news... I might have to sell my Jago!! Really don’t want to but with only just starting business etc...

You can count me in for meeting up again though, even if it is in the 'boring' car!!

I cant see me without Jago for long, might see how for the Belfield project is coming on and buy a new chassis and build a sierra version chassis up as soon as funds allow?

Best of luck in getting more support I am trying to get hold of my mate with the Jago near me (it is a rare one!!! its RED!) he will come to some meets

Carry on Jagoing

Hi Keith

No worries , hope everything goes ok with your future plans , I presume you will be keeping your other kit car so our paths will no doubt cross in the future.

Be nice to see your mate's Geep at one of the meets too , you'll just have to try and hitch a lift!

I cant believe his is red too.......

Cheers

I was talking to Andy at Bellfield Eng., a week or so ago and he IS going ahead with the Sierra kit for our Jeeps, so, if you can hang onto your pride and joy therefore not having to splash out on a new chassis - just a thought.
By the way, Boring old cars = No Fun!!!! 'been there, got the T-shirt.... good luck anyway what ever you decide on.
Cheers

Hi Tonkaland.
Is the meeting go or no go? Only the topic seemed to swiftly change before this was firmly decided.

Finally got a destination for Saturday the 26th....

I picked up Alan and we did a tour around Newark and the surrounding area for a suitable meeting point and managed to pay what I believe may be a new Guinness World Record price for a bacon butty!

So there is one place near North Muskham we will not be calling at again!!!!

The location this time will be The Grey Horse Inn this is located in Collingham village on the main A1333 Gainsborough road about 5 miles north of Newark anytime after 12.30.

It would be great to break our previous attendance record of 3 Jagos but either way we would like to see you there.

Geep is fueled up , levels checked , thermals at the ready , hope to see some of you tomorrow lunchtime.

Nothing is ever plain sailing however.....

Thermostat housing gasket was leaking this morning and I couldnt find the 2 spare gaskets I have , so it was off to the discount shop for some instant gasket.

I had to put the hood up earlier in the week to keep the snow off my bald patch so decided to leave it up when I put it away in the garage as it was such a struggle to fit (as it very rarely gets used I thought a few days up would help stretch it a bit).

Folded it all up this morning before I left home , 10 minutes later I am sat in traffic and it starts raining.........I just cant win!
