I've never seen it before, it's on in the corner of the room.

Or more to the point, is was on - I've never seen duller comedy.

I remember when the BBC used to do stuff on Friday nights that were genuinely, bitingly satirical. This is, I think, the first sitcom I've found genuinely insulting. Exactly why is a deadpan wannabe-cynic woman trotting out very old and unfunny 'jokes' about men - oh, look, they're unfaithful and dishonest, fixated by trivial things, emotionally stunted and monkey-like in their approach to relationships and sex. Oh, my sides are splitting.

Are Dom Joly and Bob Mortimer's new shows any good, or is part of the BBC's new 'do everything Tony says or he'll give you a Chinese burn' agreement?

In short - what the hell happened to good BBC Friday night comedy???!!!

Actually, Bob Mortimer's new show, '29 Minutes Of Fame' is off-the-wall enough (Alaistar McGowan is brilliant). Heard good things about World Shut Your Mouth too.

According To Bex just reminds me about that other godawful icon of bitchy political correctness, All About Me - a comedy about an interracial couple with a funding problem, no car and disabled kids. And a dearth or irony. What's even more amazing is how Jasper Carrott and Meera Syall agreed to do it.
