Hi all,

My brake alarm (dash light & buzzer) on the Tuscan has just started coming on intermittently under heavy braking. The pads look as though they may need changing but I was wondering if anything else can trigger this alarm? Brakes still seem good to me and the handbrake works fine as well. I can’t seem to find any diagrams or description anywhere for the alarm side of the brake system and how it is triggered.

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Its a low fluid warning in the combined brake and clutch reservoir behind the pedal box. Check your fluid level, a leak often signifies a clutch slave cylinder seal needing replaced. Best get it looked at.

Cheers whitey.

I will get it looked at as quickly as I can but its nice to know what the possible causes are before it goes in.

Thanks for the info.

It can just be heavily worn pads in combination with a slightly low fluid level.

Turned out to be a combination of worn pads and slightly low fluid level. All sorted now.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Cheers.
