Bought one of these babies today

LINK

(well i bought the Jessops version... identical to above]

I would have thought these were essential to taking photos. My tripod has a spirit level but its the camera that has to be level for a good shot.

If you haven't got one - get one!

The trick to a good shot is if it LOOKS level, not if it is (unless you taking technical shots for surveying etc).

I'd save your money for some nice glass (or 3 flatliners )

I've already bought it... oh well... it's a nice little toy anyway.

I pretty much always use a spirit level if I'm using the tripod - it's just another thing that I prefer to get right when taking the shot rather than fixing with Photoshop.

To be fair not totally a toy. Like I said for some technical shots it'll be handy. I have to say that if I had a tenner to spend on a bit of kit I'd get...hhmmm...A lense pen maybe?

You've definitely mage the right choice between camera kit and flatliners!

All non-work stuff are toys to me.
