I have tried to get a new pair of S03's for the front of my Chim and been told that Bridgestone have ceased production!!!!! Hadn't heard anything on here, so what now?

If anybody knows of a garage in Essex with a pair of 205/55 15's, let me know.

Cheers,

Paul

I recommend you take a look at blackcircles.com. Production may have stopped, but there are still tyres out there - I bought 2 SO3s just over a week ago.

You don't mean SO2s have ceased production then?

just ordered a pair (well 2 pairs actually front and back) from BlackCircles.com.

No problem ordering and if you mention PH you can get a small discount.

No S02s have not ceased and it's news to me as well is S03s are out of production. I bought a pair of 205/55/15s last month for £160 all in with one day delivery.

I've noticed www.mytyres.co.uk are still listing SO2's in some sizes.... I thought they'd been discontinued too.

Paul, try "Super Tyres" in Maldon, they fitted SO3's (all round) on mine before Christmas.

We were told by a local tyre place at the beginning of the month that S03s had been discontinued, but they had 4 left in the warehouse with no more stock for the foreseeable future.

I think that you may be getting mixed up with the SO2PP which was discontinued about two tears ago.

Good. Terrible tyre. Would recommend something that works - Eagle F1, Toyo Proxes, Michelin Pilot Sport, etc. etc. etc. S03s are the worst performance tyre I've EVER had the misfortune to put on the pointy end of a car.

What he just said .

Can't believe people are happy with S03's!

God awful tyre in my experience .

Still have them on mine. Can't wait for them to turn to slicks so I can justify paying out to change them. Do they tramline? Yep but it follows a p#ssed tram driver!

You got those heaps of crap on both ends of the car, or just the front? I had S03s front, F1s rear. Car was lethal above 70 from tramlining, etc. Have now switched them over, and I drove just short of 2 miles at 125mph at the weekend... with both hands resting on my lap and the car steering itself, following the camber. So, just getting rid of the fronts is my advice...

Yep, front and rear. I'll get around to changing the fronts asap then! Thanks for the advise.

I probably should point out that my has had about as much done as humanly possible to have perfect handling, so I wouldn't expect to be able to line up a "normal" Tiv on a nice stretch of road and achieve the same. (We're talking getting through 3 sets of Nitrons, 2 sets of uprated springs, 3 geometry alignments, front & rear spoilers, all in the last 6 months, in addition to switching tyres!)
