Max Mosley is apparently serious in suggesting an age limit for Formula One drivers and also imposing a wage cap. (according to www.planet-f1.com 27 Jan). However, perhaps he'd be a bit less subtle if he just banned anybody called 'Michael' and any driver deemed to be significantly better than the rest. Perhaps an age cap on the prez of the FIA might not be a bad idea either...!

A wage cap would be unworkable and a touch communist.

A lower age limit has some merit though.

The trend of more and more younger drivers getting into F1 sooner is, IMO, weakening the lower pro-formulae.

Personally, I'd like to see more demanding criteria for the granting of super licences, removing the predominance of money-over-talent drivers we have or have had in F1.
