Evening guys,
Supposed to be away first thing in the griff, but after the engine being out etc I have a couple of issues I'm not happy to do the trip with.
Please can the interweb brain help?
Was running great but now stalls pulling upto junctions etc. I've had the stepper motor out and cleaned with no change.
Second is that the oil light on tachograph and red ignition light flicker on once warmed up. I've checked grounds best I can.

Cheers for any ideas.
Ian.

I'm not that knowledgeable but the stalling could be the road speed sensor not telling the ecu whats going on? Or base idle isn't set right - but the stepper should correct that - I think? Or stepper itself could be cabbaged? Maybe try with it disconnected?

Have a read of this thread Ian. About 4posts it there is mention of a brown lead on the alternator that looks worth investigating

Have you got the fuel temp and water temperature sensor wiring mixed up, both connectors fit the sensors, ask me how I know.........

If they are mixed, the ecu will keep the fuelling rich causing stalling at tickover

Maybe double check for air leaks on the intake after the afm. Maybe one fo the clips has come loose or the plenum bolts might need retightening

For the ignition red light check the 100A fuse by the starter motor, they are notorious for looking OK but having hairline cracks in. best thing to do is replace it if you have a spare. If you don't I would recommend getting at least one before your trip if you can.
