I need a steering arm

anyone have a steering rack that is bent/broken? My rack has an incorrect arm which is over an inch shorter than the correct one.

Some of the Cobras / kit cars use a female socket to screw onto the tie rod and a stud to extend the arm

Elan, Elan +2, Cortina (same as any old Cortina?), I don't know.

My understanding is that they were Ford sourced, beyond that I am unsure but I doubt Ford used different sized threads. So any Ford of the correct length. There is a guy near me (Newford Parts or something like that who has sheds full of redundant Ford stock. Remind me of the correct O/A length and which one (save me taking mine apart!) and I can try him for you.

It is a mix and match. See FAQs and the steering rack overhaul thread. Some Vauxhall, some lotus and some ford. A real parts bin assembly!
