I travelled across with Norfolk line and while pleased with the service and the price, it seemed to take hours to load at Dover and about the same again to disembark in Dunkerque.

Or there's Transmanche - £60/car for Newhaven to Dieppe which is a rather shorter drive on the other side. Used them last year - they're no frills, but there's a bar and a restaurant which is all I need!

I used them last year. One of their boats listed heavily to port!
