Don't know if anybody caught this last night, but a fabulous programme dedicated to THAT album, with contributions from all 4 members, including Roger Waters, who was actually in a good mood.

One of my favourite albums ever, and superb to hear Gilmour jamming the guitar solo of "Time" and it cutting straight in to the original.

Its prompted me to dust off my "Meddle" CD from University and play "Echoes". I'd forgotten what a great track it is.

amazing album

was amazing to hear them fade down the rest of the mix and just hear the vocals &c on some of those tracks.

fantastic stuff...

Animals is their most underrated album IMHO.

Didn't see the beginning unfortunately but what I did see of it was a great program. I do wonder how much of the cutting involved modern electronic trickery - it seemed sooo good.

Interesting that the band produced 2 serious petrolheads as well. The guy who looks after Nick Mason's 'garage' is an Ex F1 bloke who was a friend of the people who lived next door to my mother down in Surrey. Sometimes popped round while testing a Ferrari I am told. Never when I was down there though.

Bollocks. Missed it.

Anyone know if it is to be repeated?

Basically guys (and rather annoyingly) it was the interview piece that formed the DVD released on the 30th Anniversary of the album. So it is available on DVD.

I know, because I bought the bloody thing last year!

I bought the DVD of 'The Wall' the other day I had it on VHS but the new version has an option of a complete running commentry by Roger Waters and the guy who did all the animation explaining what everything meant in the film.

A real eye opener.

Not my favourite film, I'm afraid.

Probably because I've listened to the album so many times, and at a bad time in my life too, so its difficult to listen to it again in its entirety.

Believe there was an extra song in the film that never appeared on the album?

Yep, it's the best song they did on the film.

'What shall we do now?'

Shall we buy a new guitar
Shall we drive a more powerful car
Shall we work straight through the night
Shall we get into fights
Leave the lights on
Drop bombs
Do tours of the east
Contract diseases
Bury bones
Break up homes
Send flowers by phone
Take to drink
Go to shrinks
Give up meat
Rarely sleep
Keep people as pets
Train dogs
Race rats
Fill the attic with cash
Bury treasure
Store up leisure
But never relax at all
with our backs to the wall

My "to do" list for 2005! (except for the bombs bit)
