Money market - HELP - CDN $ vs GBP

Hope someone can help me.

I have just recently sold a property in Canada and need to bring the money back.

However, over the last 4-8 weeks the CDN $ has been weakening against the GBP £. Is this like to continue and if so why?

What is going on?
