Well, after much deliberation and umming and arring (about 12 months worth!!) I finally bit the bullet and went out and bought a shiney new 300D yesterday.

Had previously looked a secondhand kit and decided that the price difference was worth it for the extra piece of mind for warranties etc.

So I shall now be posting pic's and boring you all with stupid questions!!!

Oh yeah - and to top it all off there is a copy of PhotoShop Elements in the bundle - will this do most of the basic editting things I want it to do??

Just need to get myself a decent'ish flash and zoom for Le Mans and the GP!!! (was thinking of one of the Sigma ones...??).

Thanks to all those who've answered my stupid questions over the last few months about the 300D.

oh - Just now need to sort out geting my photos onto the web - I have webspace with blueyonder - whats the best way to put a photo album type site on there??

Cheers

Chris

The 300D is a mighty fine camera that will bring some good results once your used to setting up the shot rather than just pointing and shooting.

The sigma super 500dg (think thats the one) has all of the functions of the more expensive canon speedlite 550.

Again, if you can't stretch to the big canon lenses, have a look at the sigma range of zooms,

www.fredmiranda.com has some good reviews of most of the lenses by people who use them, not biased mags

There are lots of gallery software packages to choose from, i quite like coppermine.

Good luck with the 300d, i had a great time with mine but moved up to the 20d a couple of weeks ago.
