2009 DBS - Volvo stanav updates

Hi,

Does anyone know how easy it is to update the satnav in the 2009 DBS? Is it best to stick to the OEM disk updates, or are the non-OEM updates just as good? Also, do the disks just update the data, or the functionality too? (it's pretty much useless as it is!)

One other thing to mention, I'm based in the UAE, and the car is gulf-spec, so would I need a specific set of disks, or are they global updates?

Scott, never seen the UAE discs. Europe ones area set of 3. Do a search for the Volvo UAE ones as its the same system / discs. Not sure if it will be a great help though the way they keep changing your road layouts.

Thanks Neil - think I've tracked down the right updates, (Volvo RTI (MMM+) - HDD Middle East - 2012 for the XC90 MY07) now I've just got to find somewhere that can supply them - no mean feat in this region!
