I do often find myself wandering to the Aston used website just for a browse (as you do!) and often finding an Almond Green Rapide (that would make a nice match for my Almond Green V12V), I noticed that the values of V12 Vantage seem to be climbing a little. There are few higher mile examples that are holding well mid £80's.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this is just seasonal trend or because the lack of the V12 manual in the new V12S is pushing these up?

Cheers

Chris.

You're not old enough for a Rapide mate. Would look cool next to the v12 though.

Ageist Paddy ………….be careful you'll have my mate Mick after you and he's coming round in 10 minutes so I'm going to tell him as he's considering another Aston.

Mind you he's a grumpy ol Goat all the same………...biggrin

Ah, they broke the old when they made Mick. He's probably the only thing that Alf wouldn't try and hump!

One day I'm going to need back seats....and it's either back seats with an Aston Badge or without. I know what I prefer.....

But getting back to topic...

IMO they are a little down on this time last year. There are 1 or 2 well priced cars out there and one of them is not at a main dealer. Later 13mdl cars are about 5k less than this time last year.
But over all they are holding well and does not seem likely this will change.

I've been watching them for about a year and allowing for seasonal variation I think they are pretty stable. Those at Works tend to be on the expensive side and hang around longer than elsewhere. Last summer there were very few around with down to 2 or 3 in the main dealer network for a while.

From what I can see - I would agree. I think more and more owners are potentially realising the benefit of hanging onto them give the 'last of the breed' reputation. As supply dwindles, this should force prices up. So in short - if you have one - hold onto it and don't sell it cheap - you'll be doing us all a favour wink

There is a seasonal trend to cars like Astons so don't get too carried away thinking its an appreciating asset. As good as cars like the V12V and DBS are, there are quite a few of them out there. If you want to buy smartly its usually in the middle of winter to get the best price, now is close to the top of the cycle.

You really do not have a clue - the Rapide is a marvel of a machine.
