Whats up with green?

Is green just too boring? ive seen a few comments slagging off green and wondering whether its that bad that it affects resale??

Greens a great colour,,, if I was looking at two cars,the green one being the better car I'd buy that!

I sadly do feel there maybe a habit of Tvr's being of garish colours and that's the trend but a cars worth what it's got not what colour it is to my mind but I'm probably wrong

the mad colours do lend themselves well to those curves but id not turn down a car for being blue or green.. silver on the other hand does look a bit odd and i have 2 silver cars already so that would be a travesty

It does seem that way,loads of people I've spoke with turn their nose up at Green. I don't have a Green one (Starmist Blue) but I like them. But I don't like Green with Grey interior,in fact I'm not keen on Grey interior with any colour combo (Portland Grey maybe).

Love the look of the California Sage one advertised at the moment,only seen that on a Cerbera before.

But from my personal survey observation I think it's a higher % that don't do Green. It's the same story in General gassing with Brown cars,the majority will say why on earth would you buy a Brown car. Well there's many types of different Brown these days than in the Allegro Brown days and I like some of the shades of Brown on offer. Would it stop me buying a Brownish colour car because a lot of people wouldn't? The answer is No... I buy what I like and don't give a monkeys what others don't like.

All down to personal choice really,like mine with the Grey interior dislike,If I had spotted a good solid Green Chimaera when buying two years ago it wouldn't of stopped me.

It's funny because beauty is in the eye of the beholder,,,
I had an old Jag once that was Silver,, I loved it,,,
I nearly bought a Chimaera 450 in Silver and I really liked the colour

I never liked blue sportscars,,, sort of to conservative but my Chimaera is a light blue,, I had it re strayed and asked for a touch more silver in it,,, (Paris blue) ford colour,,,,

Look at Phazed car,,, all the things I thought I didn't like on any car let alone a Tvr
Dark blue, black wheels,,, black front Splitter, BLACK, I always think Chrome and shiny bits for a sportscar
But just look at Phazed car for a minute and I start to go a bit cold,,, shudder at it's dark beauty,, it's presence on the wide tyres,,, ,,, it just had this weird life about it,,, it reminds me of Chtistine,, something to be scared of yet your strange drawn to it,, it's funky as buggery itself

My favourite colour is the milky green one abroad, brain block, can't remember the owner...............

Green is such a famous racing colour from the British past you'd think it would still have merit.

i agree i think its timeless and works well with the tan interiors... the ones im looking at are green or blue! my alpina however is silver and grey inside and its drab as hell but it is in great order

The only greens I like are non metallic but that goes for many colours. I am a straight paint person not all this pearl and flip flop st scratch clear over base I.e metallic and your fked with straights you can polish out.

Each to their own. I personally like green and the colour was one thing that got my attention on my one.

I know the one you mean Peter, I also saw a Tuscan for sale about three years ago I'm sure it was the same colour, I'm also pretty sure it's 'Cooper Green'.... The Tuscan looked stunning in that colour... and I bloody hate green cars

Cooper Green Metallic on mine, classic dark green colour looks good to me, each to their own of course :-)

Just driven 446 miles today, up and down the country, and side to side, and only seen one TVR.....

Cooper green with biscuit interior.... looks good to me.

Phazed, yes I agree that foreign Chim has been done in what I think was Aston Martin sage
green which to me is one of THE best colours going. Can't remember the blokes name either ??
