I have been told I am not allowed to buy it ahead of our Anniversary next week, disapointing as I usually get the release day version

I disagree about there not being a decent F1 game in years though, I think CM have done a good job with the last few releases!

I have it on the XB1.

The handling is very good.

One thing I have noticed though is the inconsistency with which the game punished corner cutting. Me and a friend spent ages trying to improve our lap time in Hungary and noticed this little 'glitch'.

We could both cut the last corner, quite badly actually and only get out lap time disqualified every other time. Where as other times, if you had 2 wheels slightly off the track it would pull you up straight away.

I am enjoying it though.

This, although season mode is kind of a career mode. The new handdling is good, alot trickier, stamping on the throttle will always result is a slippy back end, leaning on the brakes does lock them, feedback on the triggers for the brakes is good, for the throttle, not so much.

Graphically it's fine, not sure it is the worlds ahead of 2014 that has been pitched but it is a step up. Podium celebration is good but replaces the park ferme scene which I think i prefered.

All in all its back to basics that I would imagine CM are planning on building on, we'll see i guess!

Xbone here, not had the look back issue but multi player loads, just never seems to start a session!

I've had this for about a week now, I'm half way through the championship season with Kimi and have to say I'm really enjoying it, the racing is superb. I have however, experieced a few bugs such as:

- When you exit the pits getting stuck in gear and damaging the engine
- Got stuck outside my garage when I came in to pit
- When to wreck your car and the screen goes into black & white, it stays like that when you rewind.
- I was winning a race in Austria, lapped Button on across the line on the last lap and Button won the race even though he was in P17 :/
- AI cars randomly spin and then retire.

Weird, but I guess most of them will be fixable, it's just a shame things like this don't get picked up during testing.

Had this, turning Pit Assist off resolved it for me.

Had this last night on Multiplayer, a car and I racing for the lead (was fantastic bit of fun, other guy was fair we both changed position 5 or 6 times on the last two laps) we crossed the line almost side by side, however the two guys we lapped were classed as 1st and 2nd, I was classified 3rd and the guy i corssed the line with 4th!

Sort of had this, thing is the AI is trying to simulate a car dropping out of the race etc, it needs to happen in a barrier or gravel to make it more realistic.

Agreed, unfortunately this is par for the course with Codemasters, has happened with all the F1 games really. They patch them and it improves but it takes an age and they rarely acknowledge anything from anyone!

This seems to happen with a lot of games now. They're either not doing testing or they're being rushed to get something out with the view to "patch it later, just meet the shipping dead line". You've got to have a deadline of course, otherwise, like PhD the temptation is to just keep tinkering on it, but it seems many games studios are getting this balancing act way wrong.

Batman has been a fk up and can anyone recall the total cluster fk that was the new sim city game when that came out? I don't even know how they dared hit the release button on that one. It would have been patently clear, even to the Maxis/EA cleaner that that game was totally borked and not fit for any kind of purpose.
