So just to clarify...
You park some cars in a pub carpark, and the landlord's fine with that. No more, no less... Is that illegal?
the cars will show as with trade but untaxedYou park some cars in a pub carpark, and the landlord's fine with that. No more, no less... Is that illegal?

I'll make some assumptions here but if it's a pub car park then that would normally be private property, it's not a public car park so the cars don't need to be taxed or insured.
They do need to be SORNED and if they leave the car park to drive on the road indeed even across a pavement then they need to be taxed and insured.
A pub car park though is normally private property, same as a drive at a house.

Just as a supermarket car park is?The phrase you're looking for is "curtilage of a residential property"; all else (ie private land over which the public have right of access, such as parking in a pub car park to go to said pub or visit locals or using a supermarket car park) is fair game...
It's cr
p, but it is also currently the status quo in this matter
.Which reminds me, I suspect the OP may fall foul of Planning if the neighbour complains to them (in particular, if vehicles are being sold from home - which I think they are NOT?), but if all is legit this particular issue should easily be sorted

Yes I would guess that planning is likely to be the issue if the neighbour took it up, and business rates would be another albeit the latter would be difficult to prove.
