Blurred vision after dental work
Discussion
Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this?
I had a dental deep clean last Wednesday. This involved a lot of work with the ultrasonic thingy, for about 20 minutes. No anaesthetic was offered or needed. However, by the evening, my right eye's vision had gone blurry. It's continued to be poor for the last two days. I'm losing detail and it feels consistently like I've been dazzled. It's still there but is easier in low light. I was able to go to the cinema last night and go target rifle shooting this evening.
I have MS and my left eye vision was compromised by optic neuritis years ago. I naturally wondered if this is a repeat performance on my 'good' (dominant) eye but it isn't quite the same. No double vision, no 'broken lines' in peripheral vision and no silvery edges on lines. There's a little bit of discomfort now but nowhere near as badly as with the MS relapses.
I'm thinking the dentist may have angered a nerve. If it doesn't imporve, I'll see a quack but meanwhile, any similar experiences might give me a clue.

Thanks,Driller.
I'm not by any means attaching blame to the dentist, it's just that the clean was the only event that was unusual.
I awoke with pain around the right orbit. My sight seemed a bit better initially but has worsened since I went out in the bright sunlight.
It may be another MS relapse...there are similarities. There are differences too. I'll have to wait and see (pun intended).
