I'm wondering where the average PHer likes to get their morning coffee on the way to work.

Costa and Nero are the best of the chains if you want an espresso / macchiato. I prefer to have it in a proper cup though.

These guys are round the corner from us http://www.thegentlemenbaristas.com/ so it's an independent every time for me. I feel sorry for those who queue for 20 minutes at Monmouth in Borough Market when they could get better coffee in less time at GBs.

This man speaks fact, although if your options are limited, Pret's espresso is quite acceptable.

BP's Wild Bean Café is pretty good, especially if you can find a new revamped one.

In London it's Costa but when I'm in Sweden it's McDonald's or home made filter. I actually really like Costa, I hope that doesn't make me a pauper.

yes

Currently got a coffee click in work, we try for different beans each week. Some indies are very good, although now I am working away from Manchester City centre again its rare I get chance to sample them.

I have a Costa, a petrol station Costs and a McDonalds and after trying all it's a std McDonald's every time - the Costa Americano with cold milk varies every time, the machine at £2 is a rip and not as nice as Macy's

In Macy's if you have a loyalty card when you go to hand it in ask if they want it approx 1 in 4 times they say "it's ok" and you get a free coffee again next time. Go me!
