Wow, I didn't realise there was such a popular forum on this website for the Chimaera. May be someone might be able to help or know anything about the following problem I'm having with my Chimaera.

I've only owned the car since October. Been good fun except for a terrible petrol smell / leak I have in the boot. Pipes have replaced 3 times and the smell goes for a week and then comes back. The tank is currently being removed for investigation but in the meantime has anybody else experienced similiar symptons?

P.s. Anybody from the south staffordshire / North Birmingham region as I haven't seen one single Chimaera whilst I've been driving mine around.

Petrol smell? have you checked that your carbon filter (in front passenger wing) isn't blocked? If the tank isn't venting it may just be pushing fumes into boot.

Im in Lichfield, and I think the nearest TVR sales place is in Derby.

You'd probably be drummed out of the golf club if they catch you associating with Griffith owners, but I'm just up the road from you at Ashby de la Zouch. North West Leicestershire... but only just!

Hi Martin,

When I get my car back from the garage after they have hopefully sorted out my petrol leak and we have some half decent weather i'll take you up on that offer. Especially as I've never had the pleasure of even standing next to a griffth.
I think TVR's are rarer than rocking horse pooh in these parts

There are three pipes to the tank. The filler pipe, the feed to the pump and the return from the fuel pressure regulator. Have you changed all three?

Surprized I havent seen you yet, spend most of my day driving around Lichfield with my job. I'll keep em peeled!

I haven't been in it much these days due to the petrol leak I've had. Just picked it up today and I'm guaranteed that its fixed. Fingers crossed. Apparently a union at the tank had perished. All pipes and carbon can okay. Luckily the garage haven't charged me a single penny since the first time I took it there so thanks to Horizon Motorsport in Cradley Heath.
Get my recommendations.
