..These do look nice and prices are coming down towards the 10 grand mark...Are they any good? Not sure which would be nicer to own, this or a BMW 330D.

I purchased the E350 version about six weeks ago. Great engine nippy and economical. Don't know about the c class, I know the e class is not supposed to be as well built as before, but it's my first mercedes and I love it so far.
I have driven the BMW 530 and 330 over a lot of miles (but not owned either) and prefer the mercedes

Both are good which you prefer will be down to your personal taste but I prefer Mercedes as they're more relaxed.
