964 wishbone bushes front
Discussion
I'm taking mine for alignment/ ego soon but I just realised a project I was going to do about 10 years ago and never finished or should I say started. As alignment would need to be done I think after fitting it's probably a good idea to do it now before I take it.
I have a spare pare of front wishbones used, I was going to relish them ( car was an every day driver at the time and I thought it easier to do it on a spare set)
I seem to remember not starting because it seems a bit too involved. Anybody here re bushed the front wishbones?

Is it just a case of smashing the old ones out with a hammer?
Effectively yes. I lifted the edging with an old chisel and then used a cold chisel once I had something to work with. The other bushes needed the sleeves to be sawn thorough carefully and then bashed out. There are a few threads on rennlist and 911uk about how to do it.ffc said:

I would have thought the RS versions the same as the standard wishbone but with harder rubber.
Give it up now and order a set of refurb wishbones from Hartech. I've just received mine and they will give me dosh back for my old ones. I've heard DIY can be a right pain.
At £130 each plus VAT (then money back for the old stuff) I cant see it worth buying the bushes and the hassle of doing your own.
