That is not a 1996 car.

It is either:

A: A 1997 car that's been rear ended and had the later rear lights fitted during the repair

Or...

B: A 1998 (or later) car

What it most definitely isn't is a 1996 car.

Registered 18/11/98. Seller obviously guessed the year. A 30 second look on DVLA website with the reg tells you that.

Yep I agree, the round rear lights and slanted plate came in around Feb 1998.

Lights are a simple 500 quid upgrade at central tvr. Nearly had my 95 done last week but decided against it as selling. Doesnt mean it's been in an accident .... some just prefer the loom

The top bid was retracted this evening. Sometimes suspicious when that happens but it's possible they didn't read the listing properly.

Top bid now £3300. As I said above, it's a 1998 car. I'm a bit surprised to see the windscreen wiper motor still in the engine bay on the n/s. Must have been an even later change along with the hidden boot hinges. Probably fetch £5k or close to it.

At least it'll be dry inside.

I listed mine on ebay yesterday, 15 bids retracted. Seems to be the new trend to find out the reserve. As soon as it shows up reserve hit they have all been retracted. I'm guessing dealers as most then contact me to ask a buy it now price.

err mines a 1996 car & has from new the slanted plate - Tvr's being what they are never conformed to changes all at the same time!
