Otter switch

Hi,
My Chim water temperature gauge has stopped working, can anyone tell me if the gauge uses the otter switch in the swirl tank as a sender unit or does it have a separate sender unit in the engine somewhere. If its separate where can I find it.

Otter switch is used purely for turning the fans on/off, water temp gauge sender is on top of the inlet manifold, don't confuse it for the ecu water temp sender which is in the same vicinity.

Gauge temp sender is available Here and other usual stockists.

part shown is for the caerbont style gauges, others gauges like the earlier ETB ones may require a different sender.
