Good Morning all. I want to replace all the flexible brake pipes as part of the re-commisioning of my 1984 2.8i. Am I right in assuming the pipes are Ford Capri/Granada? Thankyou. John C.

If you're going to replace, just look for braided Goodrich pipes in Flea. Being an 84 they will probably be the same as the early 350's like mine. I bought a complete kit of three hoses a couple of years ago, cost about £45.

Another vote for Goodridge from me. I was amused though; the Wedges only have one rear flexi hose and they supplied a set of two front and two rear.

I went with Goodridge as I wouldn't trust rubber brake hoses that were not to original equipment standards; I would be suspicious of anything that was not Ford OE. I have first hand experience of specifying rubber and have seen the consequences of getting it wrong.

The single rear flexi was, on my car at least, the same length and thread as that used as standard as the rear lines on a Mini... the proper Mini of course wink
