I've had a fuel line on our 2.0 TDI Passat split and give the engine bay a good dousing. It's the small pipe on the feed side that connects to the tandem pump. Not helpful when our first child is imminent.

It's the small black pipe about 8cm long on the right of the engine (under the long black pipe with a T), connected to one of the metal pipes running along the front of the head. It's got internal strengthening braid and looks to be around the 3-5mm internal diameter.

I've tried all the usual European car parts places but they either can't confirm that what they have will do the job or don't stock anything similar. VW want north of £120 for the whole metal / rubber pipe assy, but has to be ordered in.

Does anyone know what I'm looking for? All I know is the above and that the feed is 7bar.

Usual procedure if its a rubber flexi line and not shaped is to fit something like this with the correct hose clips.

Excellent, many thanks. That's the lead I needed. Found a local hose company who sound like they supply what I need, should be fixed tomorrow morning.
