Hi
Got this lil baby last month.
Covered about 1200 miles, great to drive!
Was looking at the GTI's, FN2, etc, but come on there is about 10 of each on every single road! Don't see many of these, only people who are into cars know what they are tbh, others think it's a OTT bodykit on a 1200cc clio.
Would reccomend one, if you like frequenting the petrol station LOL. 26.7 avergae mpg, not that I pootle about tbh.
Already spend £900 in garage, so yes not cheap to run, but in line with other 200bhp cars I suspect.

They're great fun, even with a 300+bhp Megane I still miss the NA Clio I had.
Dead easy to place on the road and in a corner, if you ever run one on some form of semi-slick like an R888 they will take corners at the most ridiculous speeds on a partial throttle but then the front end can be nudged in with the slight lift off oversteer you can provoke.
Despite the gearbox woes they're great, but expensive to run for what they are. I actually get better mpg out of the Megane!

Sorry will get some more up later!
Ahhh LY, such a special colour, Renaults best quote easily.
That's good to hear that you still have warmth for the clip after stepping into a 250, i'm thinking that will be my next step, a worthy upgrade would you say?? You spent a lot on the Megane to get it over 300bhp?
Or possible an S3 but my god do they hold their prices well.

It's more of a road car than the Clio is, the torque alone makes it a more relaxing drive along with longer gearing. 300bhp can be had with just a remap, I fitted a bigger IC at the same time too so it suffers less heat soak.Ahhh LY, such a special colour, Renaults best quote easily.

But I'd enjoy the Clio even now, I just got annoyed with the ride and lack of torque trudging to work and back.
S3 won't hold a candle to the Megane or Clio for that matter as a drivers car
I'm sure the Clio will entertain you for now though.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
