Hi All,
8 hours in I (well mostly a mate!) have managed to get everything out (thanks to Mad Mark's great instructions for a clutch replacement).
I have also read on these forums though that I need to "take very special care to set the pedal/master pushrod distance to require the maximum pedal movement to just disengage the unit."
How is that down then? Is it 'simply' at the pedal by feeling the bite point, or is there some technical method a from underneath?
Answers within the next 14 hours if possible as we're putting it all back together tomorrow!
I sincerely hope that the hard work is done (yes we did round 2 of the slave cylinder bolts and had a nightmare with a few others) and that tomorrow will be a breeze putting it all back together.
Regards,
John.

The adjustment comes from the master cylinder. When I changed mine I counted the amount of threads to the fork and put it on the new on and all has been fine.

Why not just swap the pushrod from the original master cylinder onto the new master cylinder, its straightforward, remove the rubber cover and circlip then swap them over. The original pushrod should be set to the correct length. Its what I did on mine.
