advice on number plate sale please

Hi everybody, I'm hoping that I might get some useful feedback from the PH community on selling a private plate. I've contacted some of the third party resellers but they just put a ridiculous commission on the plate, thereby making a sale less likely.

So what I want to do is sell it privately at a reasonable price. Problem is I do not know what a "reasonable price" is.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Oh and the reason I'm asking on the Merc. thread will be obvious if I tell you the number is.......

Honestly, you'd be looking at £250 to £400 on dvla for that. Honest answer as I paid £250 for M5 EDX which i think is as individual as yours.
