True TVR daily drivers...

Spotted a Cerbera on the way to work this morning (opposite carriageway of the A12) and I've seen a few Tuscan's about on a regular basis… so who else out these has a TVR as a commuting / daily driver..?
I'm not talking about people who have a TVR as their only car and get the train to work… but people who drive their car to and from work every day, go shoppig in it, sit in traffic, etc etc..
So…
What have you got..? (Model / Engine)
How many miles a day do you do…?
I've been using the Chim (450) every day to do about 30 miles a day.. and despite the freezing, sh*tty weather it still makes me smile every time I get in it.
I'm not talking about people who have a TVR as their only car and get the train to work… but people who drive their car to and from work every day, go shoppig in it, sit in traffic, etc etc..

I've been using the Chim (450) every day to do about 30 miles a day.. and despite the freezing, sh*tty weather it still makes me smile every time I get in it.
Used to use a Cerbera 4.5 as a daily driver for 3 years (15,000 miles a year) and more recently a Tuscan (eq. to 18,000 miles a year). Both quite 'educational' in the snow 
!
Unfortunately I'm selling the Tuscan and driving round in a Freelander for now - A situation that will be rectified in the near future!

Only car, daily transport.
I use mine for the 60 mile round trip to work every day and to do the shopping, pick up girlfriend, go to gym, cross country jaunts, down to the corner shop to get the milk etc.
It’s a Chimaera 4.0 and lives outside, no leaks, no problems.
They just like being used !
I feel sorry for all those TVR's that have to sit in isolation in there garage for days at a time, while mine is out intimidating the public and eating small animals.

Having driven almost 250,000 miles over the last 12 years I guess I qualify. I have progressed from an S2 to a 4.0 Griffith and now a 4.2 Cerbera which has covered 82,000 from new. Yes there have been a few swear words along the way, many aimed at a service network that doesn't expect you to need the car until they can find time to help you out. However, the grin they have all put on my face makes all the troubles worthwhile :-)

I kept the Griffith in the garage for a month after I sold it and had to replace the heater fan which siezed up on a frost January morning through its enforced rest. I am now not driving the Cerbera every day and surprisingly, the battery does not hold a charge for more than a week.
TVR's are meant to be driven and there is nothing sadder than a prized posession sitting in the garage when it wants to be giving an owner the biggest grin to be had on four wheels.

Have driven 9,000 miles since May, mostly across South London, slow moving traffic, Chimaera 450, gets hot and bothered sometimes, but has never let me down.
I, on the other hand, have left the lights on once (second week of ownership - took a whole five minutes to work out how to get in, but another hour to find the battery!!!) and am embarassed every time I see another one on the road as everybody else's seems to stay much shinier......

My Tuscan is my only car. I use it as I would any other car; although you do get some funny looks when you pull up at Travis Perkins’ loading bay in between all the builders’ lorries and fill the boot with building supplies.
I do about 15000 miles per year. My Sagaris will be my only car too.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one who USES the car, come rain, shine, sleet or snow.. Although clearly my mileage is small-fry compared to some.

When I found out that my Tebetian Terrier spent more time in my S4C than I did I thought it time to use the car for work. Now I use it for the 30 mile round trip most days and cant wait for Monday mornings. The dogs not happy but you can't have everything, the Tiv gets a big greeting from him each night and he sits in it until its time for his other love in his life Food!

I drive my Cerbera 4.5 to work and back every day. I do between 16 and 26 miles a day.
