I was wondering something similar(ish) the other day....
Under what rules do the new Renault Twizzy(sp?) fall under. Full car, or quadra-cycle?
Reason for asking is that I happened across one on the motorway causing chaos as it trundled along at 40ish mph in lane 1, truckers flashing lights, tooting and trying to avoid the bugger. The driver of the Twizzy looked petrified. Seemed like a very bad idea to take it on the motorway, and I did wonder at the time if it was legal (it shouldnt be, if it is!)
Allegedly, a Twizy can reach the dizzying velocity of 50mph (limited). I don't think I would drive one outside of town! As for looks, Under what rules do the new Renault Twizzy(sp?) fall under. Full car, or quadra-cycle?

Some time in the 80s I think, the police booked a steam lorry for underspeed on the motorway. He was absolutely flat out at 28mph and causing fires on the verge from the quantity of sparks in the smoke from the the boiler.
Underspeed though was the only offence that was simple to prosecute, even though it was certainly causing a big nuisance and being driven furiously.

That would have got interesting very quickly if the driver decided to refuse to stop Underspeed though was the only offence that was simple to prosecute, even though it was certainly causing a big nuisance and being driven furiously.

It wasn't Fred Dibnah was it? Coz he would have had a pint of ale in one hand whilst steering expertly with the other, (with the occasional toot on the whistle of course)!Underspeed though was the only offence that was simple to prosecute, even though it was certainly causing a big nuisance and being driven furiously.

If they can manage 30mph yes.
What makes you say that?Having googled it it seems that is R.O.I only but I think its pretty standard either way. Some fully laden trucks will struggle to better that speed up a hill.
