Hello,

I recently bought my first VXR8 LS2 which i am loving but i would like to tweak it a bit. It has the switchable Wortec system which im not sure of and a LS7 clutch.

I am looking for an cold air intake but would like some advise. I have seen these two but not sure:

http://www.monkfishperformance.co.uk/over-the-radi...

Any advise would be great and if you have any reccomendations that would help.

Also any advise on fitting it would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Hello mate Iv got OTRAI by walkinshaw. Only problem I had it thst the map needed tweeting as the OTRAI was putting check engine light on. Which just ment it was running to rich. So I took trip to walkinshaw and they sorted it for me.
So if buying to fit yourself I'd ask the question about does it need a map tweet.

Hi I think both the Mf and Wp kits are the same , they are a bolt on , a bit more noise a bit more power , I had no problems with mine from Mf , it was a straight bolt on job , you need the infill panels and they are not that difficult to fit

I'm not familiar with the monaro but can't you just duct an intake pipe to before the radiator or somewhere nice and cool?

These OTRCAI sold by Walkinshaw and Monkfish look to be the. With the Walkinshaw one it comes with Walkinshaw on it, but as said you will need the map tweaked.

If standard you are better getting the car remapped at Walkinshaws, after all they know these cars better than anybody.

If an intake is making the car run richer, then it's not as good as standard. It should be able to flow more air, not less. Anyway, the ECU should compensate, as the MAF is after the filter.

I think I've previously read that the CEL would likely be triggered as the MAF is much closer to the throttle body with an OTR.
