10-24mm Tamron, 11-16mm tokina etc...

No experience of the Tamron though I don't think reviews are all that complimentary. I have owned a Sigma 10-20 and that was good but nothing special. The Tokina 11-16 is a beauty though. It ticks every box other than having a tight zoom range. I rate it higher than any of the more expensive Nikon options, it really is a cracking lens.
Sorry for the late reply guys. I'm using a Canon 60D and will mainly use the lens for longexposure landscapes so being able to open it right up isn't much of an issue. I'm drawn to the Tokina at the minute as it will be working alongside a 17-50 so i'm covered from 11-50 with both lenses.
Whats the 'sweet spot' on the Tokina? On the 17-50 i use it seems to be f8.

I have the sigma but prefer the tokina mounted on a 7d. A few sample pics below

I think i'm settled on the Tokina, just need to find the best price. Being a yorkshire man i'm too tight to pay full whack and my local Indy has it listed at £550!
Have a look on http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&ai=CZnm3LD-p... they have three second hand starting at £284..I use them quite a bit and never had any issues.VRSAndy said:

And friend recently bought one on eBay for just £274! It's a lovely bit of kit. Amazon sell it for nearer £400 I think Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
