An old kit i acquired and i decided to try basic weathering on it. Primer, Silver, hairspray then Green.

When it was nearly dry I dampened the right wing and rubbed at it, gently at first then a bit harder. Also scrapped using my thumb nail.

The left was left to dry overnight, then i did the same processes. I found i had to rub harder- naturally - and lightly used a file in parts.
I know it is probably overdone, but advice/comments welcome. Thanks

If it was Japanese it wouldn't be overdone, and even looks about the right colour. But it's a P47 isn't it?

Good effect though, although I can't see myself attempting it.

Yep, a P-47. Thanks for your comments. Will definitely try this on a Zero in the stash
