Hi,
So I think I have exhausted (I know, good one) every avenue when it comes to standard amount of noise that comes out of the Gen-F. Let's face it, it's not all that.

I accidentally opened a video with the sound of my previous LS3 VE, and boy do I miss it!

So, seeing that there are no options available in this country, are there enough of us that would want to do a group buy from Oz? Something that is not horribly expensive, but at the same time give us the "tune"?

I don't know where to start with this, but I would like the day to day loudness of the loud setting of the standard Gen-F, and scream in the loud mode. Something like that available?

Please, help smile

Just get a local exhaust place to fabricate decat pipes.

I wouldn't really want to go down the route of decat pipes this time around. It would require a remap, o2 sensors deactivation, and what not. Simple catback was my wish. Plus, the decat pipes will not do much to the noise, if not done with the rest of the exhaust, anyway. So really, will probably have to wait for WPUK to come up with an option.

If you wanted to look at the possibility of importing from Oz, then have a word with Ringram, as he arranged the last group buy with Pacemaker.

I was thinking the same today, I have reversed the non return under the engine cover so it is set on loud all the time but like you say, needs a bit of work done, I was thinking of removing the small middle silencers, surely that might make some difference ?

Thanks Ian, but I don't think our numbers would be big enough compared to what Richard has managed to put together. I might have a word with him about choosing the right shipping company, though.

Mick, those bullet look silencers are, I think, anti-drone devices. My understanding is that they will just make the car drone more, thus louder only inside. I wonder if having the mid section modified only (mid silencer delete) would help. Alternatively, just backboxes. Hmm ...

Have you asked AAS about your exhaust requirements? I'm sure Stuart and the guys will build one for you to whatever specs and volume level you require thumbup

We took out our resonators and centre box, replacing with a kissing pipe, and didn't suffer any drone.

Hmm interesting. Might be tempted to try. Seeing it is a centre section only, it should always be easy to go back to the original setting. That is of course, if WPUK do not mean to come up with any feasible through and through alternative.

V88Dicky, AAS is too far from me, and given the fact I would need to drive up there and come back (London - Newcastle), spend a night there, it would probably work out similar money to getting switchable Harrop catback smile

I have a complete 3" system for a Gen F ute including 1 7/8 headers and de cat pipes. Will need shortening and might fit, includng loom extenders.
