Becks non alcoholic
Discussion
anyone know where you can buy this on line? I had a few bottles at the weekend while watching the footie. It tasted great and makes me think that I should have some at home, a good alternative to have to drink whilst watching the footie on the box and not getting pished on a school night or damaging your liver ( although weight could be a problem!)
ive tried majestic but they havent got it.

So...are you telling me someone's finally made a non-alcoholic beer that doesn't taste like shit?
If so - its great news. I love beer. I'd rather drink beer when out and than water - I just don't because its got alcohol in it.
An alcohol free beer that tastes good would definitely get drunk by me.
Also good at lunchtime at Trackdays! If its FREE of alcohol rather than LOW that is...

exactly
there is a slight difference in the taste but its certainly not as bad as kaliber etc.
about 5 of us were drinkning it as many were driving and most people agreed that it tatsted quite good. Im not a massive fan of the original becks in the first place anyway, but this was good, and at 65p a bottle from sainsburys seems sensibly priced.

Ok, as a lot of the mid-essex TVR club know - I'm the alcohol free freak!!
Seriously, I developed an allergy to alcohol that is so bad it makes me feel like I'm having a heart attack - so I haven't drank for 3 years (that alone has paid for the Chimaera.)
Unfortunately finding good alcohol free beer is very difficult in the UK. The Becks one is good & you can get it in Supermarkets & Threshers, Sainsbury also do an imported German one that is excellent...
However, if you go abroad you will find dozens of good bottled Alcohol free beers - there are even Stella Artois & Heineken versions! I've had these all over Europe & even the USA has some good ones...
So, I guess it's down to our Chav society & it's craving for alcohol and the small mindedness of drinkers taking the piss if you dare ask for a Kaliber (you girl)... most alcoholics are just scared to admit they can't do without it!! That & Kaliber being brewed by Guiness - Kaliber is most peoples idea of 'non-alcoholic' and the stuff is awful - I'm sure Guiness do it on purpose to keep sales of their dearer stuff high? I heard that they have a stranglehold on what other brands can be sold in Pubs - which is one reason you just don't see the good ones?
There are some good online stores that sell this stuff...
cheers
