If a driver fails to stop, but then reports to a Police Station within 24 hours instead (as they're entitled to do), how do you go about getting their insurance details from the Police?

Please don't respond with details about the 24 hour period, or the offence committed as I know and if the other driver doesn't, well it's not my job to inform them.

Thanks,

Your insurer will do that bit - or you can give a few quid to MID.

Thanks,
Stopping after an accident? stopping for police officer? stopping for a red light? something else?
please explain what you are talking about so someone can explain to you how it's wrong

the way its worded seems to be pretty obvious that this is regarding a driver who failed to stop at the site of an accident.

You would assume, but this is PH where common sense does not apply the story behind this could be anything

No need for that reply, it was obvious to me.
