Hello all,

I am soon to collect an MP4-12C and need to sort the insurance. I know I am being a bit lazy, but is it simply a question of going to the main stream insurers for a quote, or are there any who are more favourable?

Needless to say I am quite excited!

Many thanks

Hi and welcome.

I have had most of my cars over the past few years insured through A Manning Ltd.
I didnt shop around but they seemed fair, interestingly its cheaper than the LP, although when questioned they suggested it was because I am a year older, seems nonsence to me but try them.

Admiral multi-car policy works well for me and was significantly cheaper than the likes of Groupama or bigger groups (which most smaller insurers will get to underwrite anyway).

Manning used to include track day insurance --- worth checking if it's on your agenda ...

Admiral Multi-car for my cars. Only an additional £170 to switch the 12c over to the 650s spider for the final 6 months remaining on the policy.

gone with Manning...decent enough price and policy. Tired Aviva 3 times and got put into a queue... and that`s when they are trying to sell you something!...lost my business.

I did a Go compare quote and the best I got was through Admiral at £580. That's handy I thought as I already have a multi car policy with them so it will be even cheaper. When I phoned them up I got quoted £522 for the remainder of my multi car policy which runs out in November. Pro rated that equated to an annual premium of £1500+. When I mentioned my Go compare quote they told me they use a different rate card for Multi car???!!!

Guess who isn't getting my business come renewal?
