No thanks! Prefer it the proper way! Hence new front end with correct lights!
Nothing as bad as you've gone through, just a number of things that have caught up with the car getting older, and to be honest I feel cheeky complaining, but I'm sure you know what it's like to have your p&j off the road.
Fingers crossed that both of us are back out and about sooner rather than later.

Well I just spoke to the shody bop and they reckon week starting 21 February now; 2 days for a service, (& MOT - yikes!) installing new ICE, some tweaking here and there and

Err..... Colin, my car did not get keyed. I had an altercation with a deer. New front end, new air box, new bonnet, new radiators, new lights and various other things.
It took the insurance company 3 weeks to finally allow me to send the car to a body shop that specialises in TVRs, rather than their appreoved body shop (who didn't want to touch it anyway!), 2 weeks for them to get their behinds in gear and go and assess the car, 6 weeks to order parts (well, the front end, the rest was fairly swiftly supplied) and so here were are, 3 months down the line with the work starting on the car.
I will have been without it for a total of 4 months by the time I get it back. I think that is probably pretty standard, I am sure most who have had this sort of thing done to their cars would aggree.

Excellent news!
I'm not putting a timescale on the repair works for mine as I'm doing them myself. I just see it as tempting fate into something going desperately wrong otherwise. That said, I'll be ecstatic if I get the car back on the road inside a month.

Good luck! I am happy to do the odd bit of tinkering here and there, but replacing the front end on a Cerbera is not one of them!
