My 1999 Honda S2000

Evening all.
Ive had my s2000 for just over 2 years now and have been slowly getting to know the car. I've done a small amount of work on the car so far so I thought id keep you all up to date!
It started with a 8/9 hour round trip to pick the car up from the north, it was a fantastic drive back and I was very happy with my purchase
The spec list was:
Braided brake lines
Smoothed front bumper with optional lip
rare optional headrest spears
CR faux carbon headunit cover
decat
redstuff pads
JDM rear subframe
Fidanza lightened flywheel
Once I had her saftly home it was time for a serivce, a clean and of course some pictures!
I had the roof replaced for a mohair item and continued enjoying the car for a few months.
My other half then treated me to some new wheels and I grabbed some Bridgestone RE070's to go with them
Fantastic tyres!
It was then time to head to my buddys to get them mounted
I was happy with the fitment, the offset was a little low but I took it to a local body shop to have the front wings pulled to sort this.
I was super happy with the wheel/tyre combo and enjoyed pushing the car harder with its new levels of grip.
After this came our annual trip to the ring and so I serviced the car once more
And then the journey began, my longest one in my s2000 so far, and she performed brilliantly
I couldn't believe how brilliant the car was on a trip like this, enough room for mine and my other halves gear for a week, happily cruises on the motorway, keeps up with alot of other cars on the autobahns, performs brilliantly on the track and then perfect for a roof down evening drive home from a restaurant.
Since then I have just been enjoying the car, weve had some good weather here so the roof has been down alot. Ive got my old number plates back from my integra
I added the alloy craft rear diffuser and under floor which was a fantastic fit when following the instructions they emailed me. Sadly its matt black and doesn't really show up in pictures!
Our annual ring trip took place once again end of August, had yet again another fantastic week. This time we stayed in our own house rather than a hotel
Brilliant accommodation for 8 people, if anyone wants any details I can let you know more.

Of course we stopped and Pistonklause for steak on a stone!
Also we stopped at Pinocchio's for a huge pizza one night! An absolute must for anyone who loves their pizza!
We had the chance to drive the GP track aswel this year which for myself was a dream come true. I've always been a formula 1 fan and to driving that track is something that ill never forget. It did however highlight that my recently upgraded discs and pads (mtec grooved + yellowstuff) are not up to the job on a track like that.
Thanks to that trip I have fallen in love with my S all over again, it really is a fantastic car.
I have been doing a few little jobs here and there that Ive meant to do for a while
Ive recently been reading into alot aerodynamics and its something that really interests me! So I though it get myself a rear wing. A friend was selling his full carbon adjustable for a crazy cheap price so I snatched that up, should of taken the van to pick it up though. Ill get some better pictures of it soon
Just trying to work out the best way to install it without damaging the boot in the long run.
As usual the car has been kept clean and Im learning more and more about detailing now to keep the paint in great condition. Obviously the front end is looking a mess right now, a high kerb and a flapping number plate have left there marks. I have a new lip here waiting to be fitted and then the car is in to have the front end resprayed.
So thats it so far! Ill keep this updated more journeys and adventures. I have some pictures from a trip to the Evo triangle I will have to find and upload

Thanks, that was the colour combo I wanted when looking for one, my favourite too. The nurburgring trip is a must! We go every year now and I fall in love more and more each year. If you ever want any help with places to stay/cost/places to eat etc dont be afraid to drop me a pmLooks like a fun trip aswell. One I am planning for in the future.

These are awesome cars and it looks like you are having fun with it. Have you any plans to upgrade the brakes?
Certainly having fun! I upgrade the discs from OEM to MTEC grooved with yellowstuff pads, they were great for road use, and on the ring itself as that seems to be very easy on the brakes (at my pace anyway) but for the GP track, after 3 laps they were very very hot indeed.MyVTECGoesBwaaah said:

What is the difference with the JDM rear subframe?
I cant imagine getting rid of mine! What induction would you recommend? I haven't looked to much into after market. As far as im aware the rear subframe was swapped simply because it was not as rusty as the item that was on there at the time. I believe alot of the bushes and geo bolts were seized on the previousWhat is the difference with the JDM rear subframe?

Morning all, hope everyones having a good weekend so far. I'm going to brave the weather and get a few jobs on the Honda done this morning. My main concern is that the trim around the windscreen on the drivers side pillar has been coming out and I regularly have to push it back in. I need to seal it with something, any ideas on what product to use? Thought I better ask before I dig out the bathroom sealant!

Why don't you use your number plate that seems to live on top of the dash! Nice s2000.
