online & instore payments

[CR0X]

For our e-commerce business, we have just moved from SagePay/Global Payments to Stripe, and so far, so good.

The thing SagePay does have over Stripe is the ability to process a transaction online using a virtual terminal. This is useful for when people visit to collect and pay. What options are available to us to replace it, either with actual terminal (iZettle?) or Virtual Terminal (PayPal)? We may only do one a day, and not for a large amount (max £500), but often customers are getting individual pricing, rather than working of our website.

We already have a PayPal account for eBay, so adding something onto that is easy, but their Virtual Terminal is £20 a month ...

I have an iZettle for the occasional card payment at events, no monthly fee and only 2.7% on each transaction. Very fast transfer of money too, I took £14 yesterday afternoon and have just received an email telling me that £13.61 has just been transfered to my bank accout.

All that is needed is a phone/tablet with wifi, the app installed and the phone/tablet connected via bluetooth to the card reader. So far have not had any customers look at it like its anything other than a normal card reader.

I use Sumup, similar to iZettle but rates are lower for me.
It's been problem free.
